The XM8 was supposed to replace the M16/M4 family. The U.S. Army cancelled it in 2005 after spending years developing it, which is a level of "almost made it" that deserves its own wall art. Designed by H&K, the XM8 was futuristic, reliable, and extremely ahead of its time — which is probably why it made the brass nervous.
